10월 9일, 인스타에 가수 이홍기가 Beggin' 커버 노래를 올린 걸 발견했다.

처음에는 이건 무슨 노래인가 싶었는데 저 옆에 계시는 기타분이 랩파트를 쫜득하게 살리셨고 이홍기 목소리에도 곡이 참 잘 어울리길래 원곡은 어떨까 싶어 얼른 사운드 클라우드로 들어가서 원곡을 들어봤는데

미쳤다...!

말도 안되게 좋더라. 최근에 들은 곡들 중 단연 최고. 이렇게 짜릿한 기분을 느껴본적은 정말 오랜만이였다. 특히 보컬이 노래 분위기를 거의 다 빚어냈다 싶을 정도로 느낌을 정말 잘 살렸고, 반복적이고 캐치한 후렴구가 계속해서 머리를 맴돌 수 밖에 없게 만들었다. 들을 때마다 미국 남부 사막이 왠지 모르게 떠오른다.

알고 보니 생각보다 나온지 얼마 안된 노래더라. 전혀 몰랐다. 한국에서도 이미 알 사람은 다 아는 것 같고, 외국에서도 유명하고 말이다. 1.1억 뷰라는 엄청난 조회수도 4개월만에 찍었더라. 원밀리언 댄스도 커버 댄스를 냈고, 틱톡에서도 유명한 노래라 카더라. 백번 그럴만 하다. 정말 최고!!

 

이 곡이 너무 좋아서 Maneskin이 낸 다른 노래들도 들어봤는데 I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE 라는 곡이 또 좋더군. ㅎㅎ

앨범을 통째로 한 번 들어보는 시간을 가져봐야겠다 싶다.
